    A great set of tongs.
    Pros
    – the closing/locking mechanism works well, I use it each time I put the tongs down
    – putting it down on the counter is also possible because the end used to grab the food is elevated
    – the rubber end bits are shaped in such a way that they hold on well to things you are looking to take hold of, smaller items even get ‘cupped’ inside them.
    Cons
    – no major ones, the inside of the handle is hollow and curved (the metal is bent, so while the outside is smooth there’s a groove on the inside). While the edge not entirely smooth it is not sharp and you wouldn’t feel it in conventional usage anyway.

    It does not perform as in the product description! NOT as easy to use as it makes out to be. The “advert” for the tongs say “use it with a click of a button”. I have found when you squeeze the tongs closed, they clip closed which makes releasing or putting down what ever one has picked up impossible to place down without pulling out the clip at the base of the tongs – thereby needing 2 hands to operate. Because the tongs are spring loaded, they never open fully without fiddling with the button at the base which means that they are not “single handed” as a pair of tongs should be. If I were to have a choice in buying them again, I wouldn’t!

    Great buy – I use this for most of my cooking as it is versatile, functional and good quality. I bought this to replace the same product I had purchased many years ago (well over five) which speaks to the high quality. The click function allowing you to lock the tongs in place works well, and the built-in counter stand is convenient.

    Great tongs. Easy to clean and non-scratch, with escapement lock keeping them closed to reduce storage space. Silicone grips non-slip, so all good!

    These tongs are very cleverly designed. The opening/closing clip is hands-free and the kink in the handle means they don’t drip on the counter top. I’m thinking of chaining them to the kitchen drawer so that they don’t disappear outside to the braai.
