This grinder has had a place in our Yuppiechef Test Kitchen for months; it grinds coffee for approximately 80 cups everyday and is thoroughly reliable. It supplies a consistent grind and is extremely effective in changing coarseness when adjusting the dial. The automated motor saves a lot of time and is a real luxury.
The only negative about this machine is that it cannot achieve a grind quite coarse enough for a moka pot or French press, which doesn’t bother us as we use it in conjunction with our espresso machines. Other than that, it is hard to find fault with this grinder.

Great product, good build quality with a very even grind. Using it in a small coffee shop, so the fine grind settings works great for use in a coffee machine.

  3. Terry E

Nice construction, solid, good looking and gives a consistent grind for great coffee.

Brilliant, quality engineering, good looks, easy to use, clean and set. Worth every cent for the consistent grind. I can easily set for French press, drip or espresso, or anywhere in between, and the coffee tastes great.

This grinder is great. The numbers/writing on the (very optional and insignificant) “dose cup/container” rubbed off in no time, which is a pity, but does not in any way take away from the sweet grindage you get from this little beast!

We’ve only had this item for a week and extremely happy with it. The build quality seems very good and the grinding action excellent. We tried a few settings and the machine was easily capable of achieving a grind ranging from a French press coarseness to a fine espresso. Prior to owning this product, we used an inexpensive blade grinder for this purpose and at the time I did not believe that grind method could affect coffee taste. This conical grinder seems to get it right, as the improvement in taste has convinced me that good coffee starts with good grind.

I originally bought the Graef 702 grinder to use for my Gaggia coffee machine after many years of using a Krupps grinder.
I was hoping to get a nice fine grind, which my Krupps grinder was no longer giving me after a few years of use.
I put the 702 onto the finest setting and the grind that came out was disappointingly very coarse. After pulling a 10 second shot my cup was almost full.
I sent it back to Yuppiechef who sent it on to the supplier because I thought it was maybe broken. They sent it back to me because they couldn’t find anything wrong with it.
I packed it into my cupboard and went back on to Yuppiechef and purchased the CM80. I am getting the exact same result as the 702, the finest setting produces extremely poor results.
I would highly recommend not purchasing this machine if you need a relatively fine grind.

Light weight but sturdy. The burr blades ensure an even and fine grind for the best espresso quality in a home setting. The bracket fits my Rancilio’s porta-filter perfectly, and the auto setting makes using it a breeze. Not too tall and fits under my wall mounted cabinets on my kitchen counter. The hopper capacity is a great size for the amount of beans we use.

Easy to use. Good quality blades. Built well. Consistent grind. Stylish.

My brother has one for many years and is very happy, my daughter has one for a year and is very happy, now I got one and hope to enjoy it for a long time. Until now, it gives consistent results and we make great coffee.
